Publishing company Zaner-Bloser has released a new digital tool that is designed for elementary education teachers.
The application, which is compatible with the iPhone and iPad, is a research-based program that allows parents and teachers to help young children develop their handwriting skills. It is recommended for PreK, kindergarten and elementary school educators.
Available for purchase at the iTunes store, the app features an engaging activity in which students attempt to help character Zaney get to school. By writing handwriting strokes in correct sequence, kids may improve their letter formation while assisting Zaney.
"Having legible handwriting and the ability to write with ease are important skills for children in today's world of high-stakes testing with handwritten sections," said Bob Page, president of Zaner-Bloser.
The new product also includes a "hint" button that provides support for children who are struggling with their handwriting.
iTunes recently listed the new app, which covers print or manuscript writing, in its "What's Hot" section. Zaney-Bloser said that it will soon release three new apps Print or Manuscript in Spanish, Cursive in English and Cursive in Spanish. |
