| NFL-themed game aims to make learning more fun for students |

Teachers who are interested in educating students about fiscal responsibility can engage their students with an activity that involved the National Football League (NFL).
Last September, Visa launched Financial Football 2.0, an NFL-themed online video game that educates children about making wise monetary decisions. New Orleans Saints quarterback and Super Bowl XLIV Most Valuable Player Drew Brees helped promote the activity by visiting schools and playing the game with students.
"It would have been great to learn more about personal finance when I was in school," said Brees. "I've enjoyed working with Visa to help create and launch Financial Football, providing today's students with the opportunity to learn about the financial world in ways that were never available to me when I was younger."
The game has two divisions for students rookie is for children ages 11 to 14, and pro is designed for teens ages 14 to 18. Teachers who want to play along with their students can play in the hall of fame division, which is geared toward individuals who are 18 and older.
Visa allows participants to represent their favorite team, as well. The company recently released an up-to-date leaderboard, and it showed that follwers of the Tennessee Titans were the most financially savvy of the 32 teams' fan bases. |
